Addie Clayton
Classes:
K-2 Grade Interventionist
Hello! My name is Addie Clayton. I grew up in Washington, Oklahoma and attended Washington Public Schools. I graduated from Oklahoma State University in 2012 with a bachelor’s degree in Early Childhood Education. My husband and I lived in Stillwater for several years and I taught at Ripley Public Schools for seven years as a 1st and 2nd grade teacher. A few years ago, we decided to move closer to family and I taught in the Moore Public School system for a year before switching to full time virtual teaching. My husband Kyle and I have been married for ten years and have two daughters, Ruby and Isla. Our third baby will be here March 2023. We now live back in my hometown of Washington, Oklahoma. This will be my 9th year in education. I have taught 1st grade, 2nd grade, and 3rd grade. I have six years of experience teaching virtually with students ages 4-12. I taught virtually part time while teaching full time in the brick and mortar setting and I spent the last year teaching 3rd grade science online and writing Kindergarten math curriculum. I love the freedom and flexibility virtual learning offers and enjoy finding new and engaging virtual activities to use in my classroom. Creating a classroom community online is something I am very passionate about. One of my favorite things as a teacher is creating engaging, standard based small groups for my students. I am very excited to be joining E-School Virtual Charter Academy as the K-2nd grade interventionist. I am committed to creating a virtual classroom where your student is a valued, trusted, and important part of our family of learners. It’s going to be a year full of fun, learning, and lots of adventures and I can’t wait to see what the year has in store for us!
