6-8 Grade Reading Interventionist
Hello! I’m thrilled to be your Reading Interventionist this year! I was born and raised in Bethany, Oklahoma and attended the University of Central Oklahoma (go Bronchos!) where I received my Bachelors degree in Elementary Education. I currently live in Yukon with my husband, our baby girl who was just born in March, and our dog and cat. In my free time, I enjoy reading a good book, spending time outdoors, and being with my family!
I have been teaching for three years and have taught both 4th and 5th grades in person, and virtually. Starting my career during the start of COVID has opened my eyes to a new way of learning and teaching. Helping students learn and be successful however that looks for them, is always my goal. I love virtual education because of the flexibility it offers, along with a more personalized learning experience for our students. I’m excited to help students become more confident in their reading and writing skills, and instill a love of reading in all!
