Classes: 9-12 Grade History
My name is Sean Thomas. I was born and raised in Oklahoma. I attended school most of my life here in Oklahoma – although I have since lived in many other places including Georgia, Colorado, Texas, Mississippi, and in the USAF I was also stationed in Japan and United Kingdom. During my time in the Air Force, I was drawn into tutoring my fellow airmen in our follow-on training for our job field (AFSC). I found that I really enjoyed tutoring/teaching, and when I left the service, I returned home to Oklahoma to get my degree in education at OSU. I have since been back to OSU for grad school, and I am still working toward my PhD in Geography. I have been teaching since 2011 at the middle school, high school, and college levels. I decided to go virtual so that I can work from anywhere as my wife and I intend to become digital nomads so that I can incorporate historical lessons from the actual historical sites upon which they occurred. For example, a lesson on the Gettysburg Address from Gettysburg. I see virtual learning as a growth industry, and I am excited to be part of the early going.
